Cameron was a doll. He came and picked up myself and my girlfriend and our service dog, helped us with our luggage and was so pleasant to where I can honestly say that I have never had a better cab experience in my life. I recommend this company over all the other ones in town. I wish I could give him 10 stars.

Cameron, the owner of Longboat Key Transportation and Conscious Cab of Sarasota, has aptly named his company. He is conscious of being conscientious and everything that that entails. His is, bar none, the best taxi service in Sarasota. I can say that with authority because I have a physical disability and can't drive and therefore must take taxis on a regular basis. Cameron's and his partner Russell's service is reliable, impeccable and personalized. The disability doesn't faze either one of them in the least: Cameron said he found me engaging and that he was glad to have met me. He goes out of his way to be helpful without being patronising. He offered to bring my wheelchair without my asking. At $3.00 a mile, Conscious Taxi's rates are competitive, even and especially with Uber. Conscious Taxi is the Rolls-Royce while Uber is the rusted out truck that doesn't run. (As a potentially helpful aside for those who need to use taxis because of a disability or health concern, based on multiple unsuccessful attempts during nearly every phase of every encounter I've had, I absolutely would not use Uber, ever!) Back to Conscious Taxi the worthy subject of this review. Russell drives a well-maintained Lincoln Town Car. Cameron's is almost new, accessible, comfortable and very clean. Most important, Cameron puts customers before money. In short, Conscious Taxi is now my absolute go-to cab service!
